Awesome Updates!

I want to make everyone aware of some wonderful upcoming events and monumental changes regarding the college and career ministry at Forest Baptist Church!

Our class has been given the wonderful opportunity of renovating and using the Historic Forest Baptist Church (1893) building located within walking distance from the main building where we currently meet. Not only will this give us more Sunday School space, it opens up a whole new world of ministry opportunities to the college and career community of Lynchburg, Forest, and surrounding areas. There are indefinite possibilities thanks to this move. We have already begun work on our new facilities, and have scheduled a work day for this Saturday, September 13 and Saturday, September 20 starting at 9am and going throughout the day. We are extremely excited about this new step for our class and plan to be completely finished and moved in by Sunday, October 5th.

Do not forget our class retreat to Grace Bible Camp on October 24 and 25 (Friday and Saturday)! Grace is a beautiful place located about two hours from FBC. It is perfect for getting away from the "distractions" of our normal schedules in order to refocus on what really matters. We will take a night hike, face some challenges together on obstacle courses, and spend time in worship through music and through the teaching of God's Word. The cost is $50 per person. Please let us know soon if you plan to go, it should be an awesome and refreshing time.

PLEASE DO NOT FORGET 5:30 SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 20 AT KOZ'S HOUSE!!! Some of you are new, and we want to get to know you better! What better way than through a cookout and our traditional game of guys vs. girls Cranium? Directions will be given in class or you can contact us and get them that way.

Girls, contact Kerri Roberts if you are interested in the "girls' night out" on September 13.

Whew, well I think that is all for now.

Grace,
Chris Bolt
